Keith has lectured at the Victorian college of the arts on modern/progressive jazz and fusion/world drumming, taught master classes in schools, privately and has contributed a study book list towards the collation of the Australian music education board (A.M.E.B.) percussion (drum-set) syllabus at the request of the great Barry Quinn -: renowned Australian percussionist and music educator (Melbourne Symphony Orchestra).
From beginning his early years as a musician trained in classical piano to touring internationally at age 16, playing in Musicals like Grease, Footloose and Annie and working with some of Australia’s hottest talents from shows like X-Factor and The Voice, he is now a strong player in the music industry and continues to help guide and mentor young students along the way.
Strong focus on teaching healthy vocal techniques and encouraging kinesthetics awareness in the larynx.Learning these techniques will help vocalists to learn how to create tone and control dynamics in a healthy and very effective way.
Rhys has studied Music Performance in year 11 and 12 VCE, as well as at JMC Music Academy in South Melbourne, and is currently finishing up his formal training for Secondary School teaching at La Trobe University in Melbourne.
He is a conscientious teacher with many skills in his field, and has a deep love for his instrument.
